Kingsfield-Clinton, Clinton, Ontario began as an outreach of the Zurich Mennonite Church in 2007. After years of discussion about initiating a church planting effort in a largely rural area of Ontario near Lake Huron, the congregation developed a vision of the church as a multiplying organism that grows where the people are living and working.

At the Zurich Mennonite Church's annual meeting in January 2007, the congregation called Associate Pastor Tim Doherty to lead in following the Spirit of God into multiplying the church. In Fall 2007 the congregation selected the name, Kingsfield, for the multiplying of its congregation, based on 1 Corinthians 3:9 "we are God's fellow workers; you are God's field, God's building." The formal commissioning of Kingsfield-Clinton took place 28 October 2007.

In 2018 Kingsfield-Clinton met in private homes. Leadership was provided by a three-person team of elders. About seven families, composed of 30 people, were the core of the group.
