Friedrich Gottlieb Kettner was a Lutheran theologian. During his last years he was the second pastor at St. John's in Magdeburg, Prussia, Germany. As praeses, with Karl Gottlob Zeidler as respondens, according to contemporary academic custom, he treated the life, doctrine, and writings of Menno Simons, as well as the confessions and teachings, diffusion, and customs of his followers, after a brief reference to Müntzer and Münster (in the series Lipsiae, literis Christiani Scholvinii), titled Historiam Mennonis ejusque asseclarum (1696).
