Katwijk aan Zee, a town in the Dutch province of South Holland was where [[Leenaert Bouwens (1515-1582)|Leenaert Bouwens]] baptized 27 persons from 1563-1565. From that time it was the seat of a small Mennonite congregation which later belonged to the [[Flemish Mennonites|Flemish]] branch. In 1649 the congregation had no preacher. Katwijk aan Zee, a town in the Dutch province of South Holland was where Leenaert Bouwens baptized 27 persons from 1563-1565. From that time it was the seat of a small Mennonite congregation which later belonged to the Flemish branch. In 1649 the congregation had no preacher.
