Kasai was a district in the Belgian Congo (now Democratic Republic of Congo), which was the location of the Mennonite Brethren Kasai district mission field. The area covered by the mission in 1957 had approximately 35 villages with an estimated 12,000 population. The mission was generally referred to as the Bololo field.
