Janneken op Dextelaer, an Anabaptist martyr, drowned 5 or 6 July 1557 at the Steen castle at Antwerp, Belgium, together with Klaerken (Claerken Boucket) and Margriete (Margriet Vanneau). Afterwards their naked corpses were thrown into the Scheldt River. Janneken, whose name is celebrated in the song "Aenhoort Godt, hemelsche Vader" (Hear, O God, heavenly Father) of the Lietboecxken van den Offer des Heeren, is apparently identical with Janneken van Hout(t)e, who is found in the official records.
