Jan Raes (d. 1569)

Jan (van) Raes, a weaver, born at Lauwe and living at Meenen, Flanders, was arrested there and burned at the stake 30 April 1569 at Kortrijk (Courtrai) Belgium, together with Fransoois de Timmerman, Pieter den Ouden, Jan Wattier, Wouter Denijs, and Kalleken, the widow of Anpleunis van den Berge. Jan had received (re) baptism in 1565. His property was confiscated.
