Wouter Jacobs was a Mennonite preacher of Ameland, who in 1714 copied the "Dooplijst" (list of baptisms) of Elder Leenaert Bouwens. This copy, acquired in 1855 by Pastor K. S. Gorter of Ameland), is now in the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Library (Bibliotheek en Archief van de Vereenigde Doopsgezinde Gemeente te Amsterdam)|Amsterdam Mennonite archives]]. The Wouter Jacobs copy, which is more accurate than the Appingedam copy used by Blaupot ten Cate, was used by Karel Vos in his study on the "Dooplijst" in Bijdragen en Mededeelingen van het Historisch Genootschap.
