Instrumentum publicum wegen desjenigen, was bey denen Churfl. Pfaltzischen Herrn Commissarien gegen die Protestante Mennoniste zu Rheydt in Anno 1694 in facta vorgenohmen und sich zugetragen (1696) is the title of a printed protocol giving detailed information on the expulsion of the Mennonites from Rheydt, which was published in Krefeld in 1801. This booklet of 25 pages octavo is an important source for the history of the Anabaptists in the Rhineland. A copy is found in the [[Amsterdam Mennonite Library (Bibliotheek en Archief van de Vereenigde Doopsgezinde Gemeente te Amsterdam)|Mennonite Library at Amsterdam]]. The library also contains a manuscript copy of a Dutch translation made by Godschalk Godschalks in 1771. This latter was translated into English by N. B. Grubb and published in the Mennonite Yearbook and Almanac for 1910 (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and as a separate pamphlet under the erroneous title Pro Copia Instrumentum Publicum (1909) along with the English translation of two letters of 1708 (Germantown) and 1745 (Skippack) to Amsterdam, found in the Amsterdam Mennonite Archives. The German edition was reprinted in Mennonitischer Gemeinde-Kalender (1933, 126-131).
