Hope Community Church held their first service on 11 January 2002, just two months after the closure of Mountview Mennonite Brethren (MB) Church. The Ontario Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches attempted to restart the Mountview congregation with Don and Sandee Craw serving as the pastoral couple. The congregation was formally accepted into the Ontario MB Conference in February 2003. The congregation closed on 26 June 2005.
