Hendrik Goedbeleid (Goedtbeleed) was a Dutch [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] who was killed during the assault on the town hall of [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]] on 10-11 May 1535. He was a native of Amsterdam, belonged to the revolutionary wing of Anabaptism, and was an accomplice of the Münsterite leader [[Jan van Geelen (d. 1535)|Jan van Geelen]], with whom he traveled to [[Brussels (Belgium)|Brussels]] (April 1535) to contact the imperial government concerning transferring the city of [[Münster Anabaptists|Münster]] into the domain of [[Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor (1500-1558)|Emperor Charles V]]. Hendrik Goedbeleid (Goedtbeleed) was a Dutch Anabaptist who was killed during the assault on the town hall of Amsterdam on 10-11 May 1535. He was a native of Amsterdam, belonged to the revolutionary wing of Anabaptism, and was an accomplice of the Münsterite leader Jan van Geelen, with whom he traveled to Brussels (April 1535) to contact the imperial government concerning transferring the city of Münster into the domain of Emperor Charles V. His confession is important as to the activities of the Münsterite movement.
