Havelte (Drenthe, Netherlands)

Havelte, a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe, where until 1650 were found a number of Mennonites. In 1608 the Reformed pastor of Havelte made a complaint at the synod that Mennonites of his town refused to have their children baptized. Nothing is known about a congregation in Havelte.
