Hoen Harman, a Dutch [[Anabaptism|Anabaptist]] martyr, a native of [[Zwolle (Overijssel, Netherlands)|Zwolle]], baptized by [[Jan Specke (d. 1537)|Hans Speck]] at [[Deventer (Overijssel, Netherlands)|Deventer]] in the fall of 1534, was in a revolutionary group of Anabaptists in the province of [[Groningen (Netherlands)|Groningen]] in April 1535 and shortly after in [[Amsterdam (Noord-Holland, Netherlands)|Amsterdam]], where he was arrested in May 1535 after the Anabaptist attack on the city hall had failed. During his trial Harman confessed that he had been aware of the intended attack but that he had not participated in the revolt. He was executed by beheading on 28 July 1535, at Amsterdam.

Hoen Harman, a Dutch Anabaptist martyr, a native of Zwolle, baptized by Hans Speck at Deventer in the fall of 1534, was in a revolutionary group of Anabaptists in the province of Groningen in April 1535 and shortly after in Amsterdam, where he was arrested in May 1535 after the Anabaptist attack on the city hall had failed. During his trial Harman confessed that he had been aware of the intended attack but that he had not participated in the revolt. He was executed by beheading on 28 July 1535, at Amsterdam.
