Haring (Haaring, Haaringh), a Mennonite family name found at Zaandam, Dutch province of North Holland. In the 17th and 18th centuries the Harings were shipbuilders at Zaandam. Jooris Dirksz Haaringh, d. 19 May 1729, was a preacher of the Frisian congregation (Oude Huijs). Other members served as deacons.
