Hans Höhne (Heune), an Anabaptist martyr, by trade a maker of straw hats, native of Seehausen near Frankenhausen, Thuringia, Germany, moved with his wife Grete Reusse to Halberstadt, where they were seized in September 1535. His wife recanted, but he remained constant, and was drowned on 8 October in the Bode with Adrian Richter and Petronella. His two trials on 14 and 21 September 1535 (Jacobs) are not unimportant for the understanding of the Anabaptists in Thuringia.
