George Gundy, a leader in the [[Central Conference Mennonite Church|Central (Illinois) Conference]], was born at Carlock, Illinois in 1880, son of Jacob Gundy and Lena Kinsinger, and married Clara Strubhar in 1904, with whom he had three sons.
