Grassland Hutterite Colony was founded in 1990 (Hofer says 1992) as a division from the Long Lake Hutterite Colony. In 2012 the Grassland Hutterite Colony was a Schmiedeleut Group 2 colony. The minister was Samuel Wollman and the manager was George Waldner Jr.
