Geschriftjes ten Behoeve van de Doopsgezinden
Geschriftjes ten Behoeve van de Doopsgezinden in de Verstrooiing, a set of short writings in the Dutch language, which were sent to Mennonites living in the Netherlands in places where there was no Mennonite church. The Geschrijtjes were at first edited and published by a committee, then by a union founded for the sake of maintaining contact with these Mennonites (see Verstrooiing), and later by the Algemene Doopsgezinde Sociëteit. A total number of 61 writings appeared, the first published in 1897, the last in 1941. The booklets, written in a popular style, dealt for a large part with Mennonite history; Nos. 4, 34, and 42 were reports on the activities of the union; Nos. 11, 22, and 38 contained sermons.
