Freeriks, Jakob (16th century)

Jakob Freeriks (Freerks) was a preacher of the Mennonite congregation of Harlingen, Dutch province of Friesland, and together with his copreacher Ebbe Pieters was the leader of the Frisian group at Harlingen in the Flemish-Frisian controversy of 1566. Jacob Freerks' attempt to restore peace (September 1566) was not successful. Particulars about Jacob Freerks' life were not available.
