Joh. Rud. Philipp Forrer (born 1598), the Reformed pastor in [[Langnau im Emmental (Kanton Bern, Switzerland)|Langnau]] in the [[Emmental (Switzerland)|Emmental]], [[Switzerland|Switzerland]], debated with the Mennonites in 1621, soon after taking the pastorate. His notes on the colloquia were published by [[Blösch, Emil (1838-1900)|Emil Blösch]] in the<em> Archiv des historischen Vereins des Kantons Bern</em> XII (1889) 282-307. In 1629 Forrer was made dean at Aarburg, and in 1652 at Burgdorf in the Emmental.
