Fink, Anthonius Ruardus (d. 1834)
Anthonius Ruardus Fink died 27 October 1834 at Winterswijk. He was a Dutch Mennonite minister who had previously been a Lutheran pastor at Pekela and at Kampen. In 1795 he resigned and became a bookseller at Leeuwarden, since he was a Patriot and deeply interested in politics. He soon became a representative of the Frisian people in the legislature, and thereupon a judge in the Court of Friesland. Being somewhat disappointed in his political ideals, he left the magistracy to enter the ministry again. This time he served a Mennonite congregation, having been introduced by his fellow Patriot and friend Abraham Staal, the Mennonite minister of Leeuwarden. He was baptized on 10 October 1802, at IJlst and for a short period he served the IJlst congregation as assistant pastor; in 1802-1834 he served the congregation of Winterswijk.
