Fenneken, a Dutch Anabaptist martyr, wife of the revolutionary leader Jan van Geelen, was drowned in the IJssel River at Deventer, province of Overijssel, on 17 April 1535 (not 6 February as is stated in Doopsgezinde Bijdragen 1917, 114). She had been baptized by Jacob van Antwerpen and remained in Deventer, while her husband went to Münster.
