The Mennonite Yearbook and Directory (1906-1908) listed Elton Mennonite Church with 24 members, Alexander Weaver, preacher, and D. S. Yoder, deacon. In 1910 the Lutheran Church was dismantled and a new building was erected on property about one half mile east, donated by Levi Knavel.
