Echo Valley Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Rimbey, Alberta, Canada began in 1989 when the first couple moved to the area. Fourteen more families moved to Rimbey in the next two years.

Initially services were held in homes. A church in Rimbey was rented briefly in 1990, but in September 1990 a church building in Bluffton was purchased.

Members were engaged in vocations like dairy or hog farming, carpentry, trucking, feed mill operation and nursing.
