Darmstadt (Hesse, Germany)

Darmstadt, capital of Hesse, Germany, had a Mennonite congregation from 1910 until 1935. Its members came from the Rhine Palatinate, Hesse, Baden, and Württemberg. Until the outbreak of World War I the church register listed 41 members who lived in Darmstadt or in Frankfurt and vicinity. The congregation was served by the Conference of South German Mennonites. The congregation now meets in Frankfurt.
