Cleerke Hiems (Claerken), the daughter of Bartholomeus Hiems, an Anabaptist martyr, a native of Borculo, Dutch province of Gelderland, was sentenced to death at Antwerp and drowned at the Steen prison in Antwerp on 20 March 1560.
