Heinrich Bühler, a Mennonite from Brütisell in the Kyburg district of the canton of Zürich (Switzerland), had immigrated to Moravia in 1602 with his wife and children. He returned four times as an emissary of the Hutterian Brethren to promote emigration to Moravia. On the fourth trip he carried with him many letters from the Swiss in Moravia for their loved ones at home. He was imprisoned with his companion Joachim Arbel in the Wellenberg in Zürich. At his trial he stated that he had come from Weselen (a Hutterite Bruderhof) and had received a commission from them to visit his friends in Switzerland, to persuade them to emigrate to Moravia. He had been in Switzerland six weeks. On 6 July 1614 the two men were released, after promising not to return; a return would be construed as perjury and would be punished accordingly. Their return to Moravia was delayed until fall. Nothing more is known about them.
