Cornelis Bruinvis, born 30 May 1736, died 6 March 1810 was a deacon in the [[Frisian Mennonites|Frisian]] church at [[Alkmaar (Noord Holland, Netherlands)|Alkmaar.]] He wrote historical sketches, which were published in the <em>[[Doopsgezinde Bijdragen|Doopsgezinde Bijdragen]] </em>1880, p. 48 ff.; 1882, 83 ff.; 1883, 30ff., and offered valuable insight into the church life of this Dutch Mennonite congregation.
