Broek, a hamlet in the Dutch province of Friesland, where Leenaert Bouwens baptized six persons in 1554-1556 and 22 in 1563-1565. Since there are two villages of this name in Friesland, it is not clear whether Broek near Joure or Broek near Dantumawoude is meant. The newly baptized may have joined the nearby Mennonite congregation, of which there was one in both Joure and Dantumawoude.
