Dr. Emil Blösch, b. 11 January 1838, at Burgdorf in the [[Bern (Switzerland)|canton of Bern]], d. 3 November 1900, as professor of theology at the university in Bern. Under the title, <em>Zur Geschichte der Wiedertäufer</em>, he published in the <em>Archiv des historischen Vereins des Kantons Bern</em> XII (1889, 282-307) the sketches of the debate of [[Forrer, Joh. Rud. Philipp (b. 1598)|Pastor Joh. Rud. Philipp Forrer]] at [[Langnau im Emmental (Kanton Bern, Switzerland)|Langnau]] with the [[Anabaptism|Anabaptists]] there in 1621, mentioned by [[Müller, Ernst (1849-1927)|Ernst Müller]]. Dr. Emil Blösch, b. 11 January 1838, at Burgdorf in the canton of Bern, d. 3 November 1900, as professor of theology at the university in Bern. Under the title, Zur Geschichte der Wiedertäufer, he published in the Archiv des historischen Vereins des Kantons Bern XII (1889, 282-307) the sketches of the debate of Pastor Joh. Rud. Philipp Forrer at Langnau with the Anabaptists there in 1621, mentioned by Ernst Müller. In his work of two volumes, Geschichte der Schweizerischen Reformierten Kirchen (Bern, 1898), Blösch gave a rather detailed description of the Anabaptists, with an attempt to do them justice.
