Birch Creek Hutterite Colony in Valier, Montana, was founded in 1948 (Hofer[1] says 1947) as a division from the New Elm Spring Hutterite Colony.

Daughter colonies of the Birch Creek Hutterite Colony include: Duncan Ranch Hutterite Colony (Harlowton, Montana, USA); and Pondera Hutterite Colony (Valier, Montana, USA).

In 2024 the Birch Creek Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
