Bethesda United Missionary Church, located four miles (6.5 km) northeast of Gormley, Ontario, was organized as a preaching location in about 1880. The congregation had 31 members in 1948. Prior to 1934 it was part of a multiple-point charge and shared membership with the Gormley Mennonite Brethren in Christ church. In 1958 it ended its separate identity and became part of the Gormley congregation.
