Hans Bertel, a wool weaver who was seized early in 1529 at Strasbourg with the Anabaptists assembled in the house of Klaus Bruch. On Tuesday after Palm Sunday he was cross-examined on the rack; when he was asked whether the Anabaptists held their women in common, he denied it.
