Frédéric Bastian, of Weiler, in Alsace,France , published in the French language an Essai sur la vie et les ecrits de Menno Simons (Strasbourg, 1857). This paper served as a thesis to obtain the bachelor’s degree in theology at the Protestant University of Strasbourg.
