Asperen is a town in the Dutch province of South Holland where there formerly was a Mennonite congregation. It is not known whether the congregation existed during the life of the well-known martyr Dirk Willems of Asperen, who was executed in 1569. The congregation, which always remained very small, belonged to the Flemish in the 17th century. It was represented at the conference of the Flemish in 1649 at Haarlem. In 1664 it joined the Zonists. when Cornelis Standertsz, Sybrandt Cornelisz and Jan Aertsz signed the Verbondt van Eenigheydt. It was no longer in existence in 1731.
