Derk Alles, born 8  March 1639 at [[Meeden (Groningen, Netherlands)|Meeden]], Holland, and died at [[Groningen (Groningen, Netherlands)|Groningen]], 12 May 1711, was from 1666 to 1679 a preacher and from 1679 to 1711 an elder of the [[Groningen Old Flemish]] Mennonites in the [[Netherlands]]. According to his own records he held 307 baptismal services <em>("opneming gedaan") </em>and baptized a total of 1,832 persons on his journeys. In 1699 he ordained his son [[Derks, Alle (1670-1733) |Alle Derks]] to the ministry, who took the place of elder after his father's death.
