Aliessovo was a village in the Mennonite settlement in the district and province of Orenburg, Russia. Its nearest railway station was Platovka. It lay on a plateau that is cut on the east by a gorge, and bordered on the west by a low mountain range. The village was founded in 1895 by three Mennonite families of South Russia, and was increased in the following years by further immigration. Although six families immigrated to Siberia, the number of families in the village rose to 21 in 1913. In the village there was a Russian-German public school, which, though under the Ministry of Education, was entirely supported by the inhabitants of the village, who were all Mennonites.
