Adriaen Pietersz, an otherwise unknown martyr, also called "Adriaen met een oog" (Adriaen with one eye), of Alkmaar in the Dutch province of North Holland, was executed in the Hague on 12 May 1534, because he "really despised the sacrament and held that pilgrimages were useless." It is not certain whether he was a "Sacramentist" or an Anabaptist.
