Adriaen Cornelisse was beheaded at Zierikzee in the Dutch province of Zeeland on 2 June 1537. He had "bought and read a book of the Reformer Johannes Pomeranus"; besides this, he had also distributed "heretical books, containing false doctrines on the holy Sacrament," and furthermore lodged some persons "who claimed to be messengers of Christ." This martyr may be presumed to have been an Anabaptist.
