Acadia Hutterite Colony near Oyen, Alberta, was founded in 1954 as a division from the Crystal Spring (Alberta) Hutterite Colony.
Daughter colonies of the Acadia Hutterite Colony include: Haven Hutterite Colony (Fox Valley, Saskatchewan, Canada); Standard Hutterite Colony (Standard, Alberta, Canada); and [[Meridian Hutterite Colony (Acadia Valley, Alberta, Canada)|Meridian Hutterite Colony (Acadia Valley, Alberta, Canada).
In 2017 the Acadia Hutterite Colony was a Lehrerleut colony.
